What JSON to XML does

Serialize JSON using an explicit XML mapping for attributes, text, and repeated elements.

Input
JSON
Output
XML
  • Use @attributes for attributes and #text for element text. Arrays create repeated elements. Declare xmlns or xmlns:prefix in @attributes before using qualified names.

How to use JSON to XML

  1. Paste or edit JSON, or load a JSON file; the XML preview updates after validation.
  2. A single named object root is inferred when possible; otherwise choose a valid root element.
  3. Review the mapping and copy or download XML.

When to use it

Build a small namespaced XML payload from structured JSON with explicit attributes.

Example

Input

{"item":{"@attributes":{"id":"7"},"#text":"Ready"}}

Output

<item id="7">Ready</item>

Important limitations

  • Undeclared namespace prefixes and invalid XML names are rejected. Attribute/text values must be scalar. The mapping preserves structure rather than lexical XML details: comments, original formatting, and mixed-content ordering do not round-trip.
